Ecclesium: Wexford Carol

This arrangement is by Philip Stopford, sung in Belfast Cathedral, Northern Ireland.. to me, this is real Christmas music, real religious and spiritual music, and truly timeless art.. choral music doesn't get any better than this.. Kudos to Stopford for this sublime arrangement as well, this is the best version I've heard or could find. I can easily listen to this year round.

Dutch Swing College Band: Swing That Music!

wow- these guys are smokin!

Dutch Swing College Band: My Inspiration

Our 200th POST - been looking for this jazz standard for a long time, and the DSCB has done a terrific arrangement of it!

John McLaughlin: Marbles

audio track of McLaughlin's rockin-est composition.. that's actually Buddy Miles (listenable for once) on drums..

Santana: Written in Sand

great lost song of Santana's.. audio only

Roger Hodgson: Fool's Overture (Live 2004)

Roger updated his epic Fool's Overture, re-arranging it for orchestra and choir, as he originally envisioned it.

Blossum Dearie: How Do You Say Auf Wiedersehn

beautiful, poignant, and melancholy

Laura Marling: The Captain and the Hourglass

Laura Marling: No Hope in the Air (Live Tobermory)

clean, austere song.. time warp stuff, like the early 60s

Laura Marling: Alas I Cannot Swim

awesome full, rich, clean sound, and from a teenager!

Laura Marling: Ramblin' Man

Of all the songs with this title, I like Laura's composition the most. beautiful songwriter, this sounds like an immediate classic, in the tradition of Dylan, Neil Young, and Joni Mitchell..

Laura Marling: Looking Back

Singing a song written by her father, Charles.. beautiful acoustic rock

Jethro Tull: Skating Away On the Thin Ice of a New Day (live)

terrific acoustic live performance.. also proof that Ian Anderson really is a leprecaun

Be Bop Deluxe: Crying to the Sky

Bill Nelson's beautiful tribute to Hendrix

Be Bop Deluxe: Maid in Heaven

Excellent video quality - too bad all 70's music doesn't have this quality.. looks like a live for tv film..

Bill Nelson: Contemplation (2007)

Beautiful rock song from the guitarist/leader of Be Bop Deluxe

Be Bop Deluxe: Live Jam 77

(title unknown) - live jam from 77, recalls Cream and the Allman Brothers, thanks to the keyboards..

Be Bop Deluxe: Shine (Live)

Be Bop Deluxe: Awesome and rare live version of "Shine" recorded in Rhode Island in 1978.. more jazzy than normal, Bill Nelson was never better

BeBop Deluxe: Adventures in a Yorkshire Landscape (live)

Amazing guitar solo here from Bill Nelson, about as fluid as you can hear in a rock guitar solo.. ok, so he's been influenced a little by Santana, at about 6:25 you can hear a little signature of Duane Allman's as well.. this has to be an intentional music nod, one guitarist to another

Photek: T'rainon

PHOTEK did the awesome soundtrack for the 2006 film Dreamland, which I haven't been able to find online (the soundtrack cd that is.. the film is pretty good but the music would be played a lot more in my house)
