Shameless - Joan Cusack Scene (plus more)
Joan Cusack is up for an Emmy this year (2014), but for "guest in a comedy", not supporting actress - unreal, but hope she gets something, she's a great actress incorrectly labeled as comedic.. (she has 14 awards and 33 nominations but has lost for 2 Oscars and 3 Emmys so far, she deserves a big one)
In this hilarious scene, a fundamentalist thinks William H Macy is gay (he's pretending to get money as a "gay spokesman"), so he's offering a hilarious "cure" to get Macy "back on God's path" - I could go for this cure myself
Zack McGowan as Jody thinks he's found the cure for comas! stop the presses!
They call this a comedy, but it's really mostly drama, as it deals with alcoholism, homosexuality, con-artists, and crime among a large family of kids trying to survive in Chicago, whose mother deserted them due to the father William H. Macy's chronic alcoholism, so big sister Emmy Rossum takes care of them all - she also deserves a nomination.. check it out, it's based on a British show of the same name that ran for 11 seasons..
